Charley is one of our latest editions. I met him in the spring of 2007 at Pools Plus where he is a top salesperson (need a pool, hot tub or pool table? see Charley). With his charming personality and his impeccable assistance, I knew he could relate well with people. Then finding out he has been a stand-up comedian and currently plays drums and sings with his praise team at his church, I had to recruit him.
Charley is a natural entertainer. He has a penchant for living an honest life while still being an all-around “fun” guy. This is a quality you don’t find in many people. He didn’t require much training since he already had most of the skills required to be a top DJ. His familiarity with sound equipment was spot-on, microphone skills were flawless and his knowledge of music was excellent. I couldn’t ask for more.
Since joining our team, Charley has already entertained many events with nothing but rave reviews. He has accomplished, in a short period of time, what others have taken years to do. If you’re looking for a DJ with a lot of personality and a desire to see your event flow perfectly, then Charley’s your guy. What type of personality do you have? I have a very outgoing personality and I know when to have fun and when to be serious. My full-time job is in sales, so I am a very good people person.
What do you do to ensure that your clients and their guests are happy? I review all the details of my events with my clients beforehand to remove any stress or worries they might have.
What makes you a great DJ? I am fun and nice to look at! I will not scare your guests away from the dance floor!
Why do you enjoy working for Michigan Pro DJs? It’s the business I enjoy. It gives me a chance to entertain and meet new people.
What is your favorite type of music? I listen to everything – you have to in this business.
What is your greatest reward from entertaining? Pleasing people – nothing better than someone telling you how well you did. Every event is as important as the next. All my clients expect perfection and I deliver. There’s just something about having all that responsibility on my shoulders that I love.
What are some interesting facts about you? I am married with four (yes, four!) kids – a 9 yr. old boy, 5 yr. old boy, 4 yr, old girl and a 2 yr. old girl. I love children and enjoy having fun with them – dancing, singing, playing, etc. I am currently 37, but my wife says I act 18. I enjoy life to the fullest and believe everyone should. I manage a sales team, so I know to be alert and keep things flowing.
