[Intros. and outros. are defined as the amount of beats at the beginning and end of each song that allow you time for mixing]. A great beat matching DJ knows how many beats he has to work with, as well as having the ability to change the tempo of any song at will, to align the tempo of the two songs being mixed. Also, when the tempo is changed, the key changes, so you also have to be able to change the key back to the original key so that the music sounds exactly as it was recorded.
