Ted is one of our most seasoned veterans. He started with us in the mid 90’s after leaving Gus Macker as an announcer and referee. When he joined us, he was already great on the microphone and had excellent people skills and music knowledge, so it didn’t take long to train him. We had him up and running in no time and he has been one of our top DJs ever since.
Ted has many talents, one of which is the ability to teach line dances. As a matter of fact, he was one of the disc jockeys that won an award with me for our interactive skills in Las Vegas at a very large DJ convention. Ted isn’t your typical DJ who likes to stand behind the DJ table. He loves to go the extra mile in making your event stand out from all the other hum-drum parties you’ve most likely been to. Some of his other talents are: his humor, his ability to incorporate fun skits, his ability to please everyone from young kids to senior citizens, his ability to coordinate your entire event, and his specialty of handling your entire master of ceremony needs. The end result is that you’ll get many, many compliments from your guests.
We’re very blessed to have Ted as long as we have. There hasn’t been one event that he couldn’t do and not do well. He’s been an exceptional role model for our younger guys and has always been a team leader. We hope that he doesn’t decide to retire from entertaining any time soon because there will be many disappointed people when he does. Everyone loves you Ted!

What do you do to ensure that your clients and their guests are happy?I help to keep your event moving along by assisting in coordinating your special day per your instructions. I have a goal at every party to play music that gives everyone an opportunity to get on the dance floor.
What makes you a great DJ? I believe my knowledge of a wide variety of music and my fun, outgoing personality make me a great DJ. I also have the willingness to get out onto the dance floor with your guests and teach a few dances, i.e. the hustle, cha cha slide, etc. I like to have fun, but at the same time, show professionalism throughout your entire event.
Why do you enjoy working for Michigan Pro DJs? While Brad, the owner of our company, stresses the importance of professionalism and being prompt, he also encourages us to be ourselves and let our personalities shine. He wants us to use our unique styles and talents that we’ve learned to make your event fun for both you and your guests.
What is your favorite type of music? I enjoy a variety of music, like jazz, rock, dance, R&B and pop.
What is your greatest reward from entertaining? I love it when I see people whose event I entertained years ago and they tell me their guests are still talking about the great time they had at their celebration.
What are some interesting facts about you? I am married and have 2 kids. I have been officiating High School football for over 20 years, softball for over 5, and recently started doing basketball. I have also coached both of my kids in a variety of sports. I DJ over 20 receptions a year and have fulfilled every commitment I have ever made to my clients.
